Pittsburgh Steelers Open Season With Win Over New York Giants

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (KDKA) — The Steelers beat the Giants 26-16 to open the season on Monday night.


The Steelers were in control for most of the second half after leading 16-10 at halftime. JuJu Smith-Schuster caught a touchdown with 5 minutes, 23 seconds left in the fourth quarter to put the team up 26-10.


Benny Snell came in for an injured James Conner and carried the ball 19 times for 113 yards. Smith-Schuster had a big game on the outside, catching 6 passes for 69 yards and two scores.


Ben Roethlisberger threw three touchdowns in his first game back from last season’s injury.
